No, actually it's a wormhole. Blackholes are actually spherical in "shape" (even though spacial vectors change radically around blackholes so it's hard to really say). Wormholes on the other hand are more conical shaped. Entering through the mouth and accellerating beyond the light barrier down the throat. Another wormhole appears elsewhere in the universe and the ship exits the pointy part of the cone. (which is what that sparkle is at the bottom left)

Wormholes are uses primarily for very very large shipping operations like transporting mining colonies or planetary engineering plants. The way most other private ships move through space is with warp technology like on star trek the next generation, moving only a few parsecs (approx 30 trillion kilometers each) per hour whil wormholes allow for traveling thousands of parsecs per hour.
